Estate Clearing
Preparing to sell your home is difficult, especially if it is your childhood home. I work closely with the clients and families who hire me to manage all of the steps before listing.
When clearing an estate, my services as a Project Manager include:
• bringing in buyers for art pieces & other valuables • arranging donations • sorting through paperwork • managing contractors • supervising movers... essentially acting as the point person between the owner and real estate broker.
Through my decades of experience, I have worked on several properties that required extensive preparation for sale, navigating hoarding situations, properties with valuable collectibles, and furnishings that need to be valued and sold.
Senior Move Management
With the gentle, expert guidance of an experienced senior move manager, older adults and families can make key decisions without the emotional and physical distress that can follow. As a result, they avoid costly mistakes and remorse that often accompany such major lifestyle transitions.
I will minimize the chaos and stress associated with moving by addressing all aspects of the process and creating and executing a seamless action plan.
Senior move managers do so much more than simply sort, settle, and move boxes; they take the worry (and work!) out of the moving process.
Hoarding
Hoarding is the persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, regardless of their actual value. The behavior usually has deleterious effects—emotional, physical, social, financial, and even legal—for a hoarder and family members. My approach is to treat the whole person. Hoarding is an outward expression of depression. I support my clients emotionally and treat them with respect. I am empathetic and firm. I can see the path within the hoard and believe it is important that my clients participate in the process. Change is possible for everyone when they feel supported and not judged.
